Feel free to mock me because I know this doesn't make any sense whatsoever.
Also too tired to shade this in any fashion, I'll shade the next pages though because I won't have to be up till all hours to draw them.
Also I tried to kill all the negative space with various background objects but I fear I have failed. Totally topical noticeboard though seeing as this takes place in 2006: there's a note about Avian flu, a Steve Bell cartoon (awesome British political cartoonist) and a commemoration for the 940th anniversary of the Battle of Hastings (I actually drew a little humouristic comic strip about this battle, got me a 10/10 in History yeaaaaah).

Updated the fanart page with some ancient art I'd shamefully forgotten to put up. Go check it out.

Oh, and you guys should all sign this before Tuesday:
It's a petition Lt. Dan Choi's going to present in court to not get fired for being gay.
Americans you are weird for still having DADT. I mean I'm pretty sure no country in Europe has it and our armies aren't quite like this just yet you know (awesome as that would be).

Answerin' some comments, do be do.
Page 42:
coolchan: Oh! but who knows: some people might think calling French people bastards is a great compliment!
And hee, fun questions <3

sigelina: Alain's pretty much an angsty bitch till page 150 or so, haha :v Some more nice questions!
Oh, I get the feeling. I was like that during my exams last week, I do hope we both passed!

Theorah: Haha, he'd probably be creeped out that someone took the time to make an avatar out of that :v or not, he's a pretty chill guy.
Lots of Brel's songs have been translated or adapted by English-speaking singers. David Bowie, Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles and Dusty Springfield, to name a few. He's so cool ;w;
If you come up with a question, feel free to post!

Zee: Oh, thank you! It's always nice to have people who regularly come back to read the comic :)
Very true, I've tried reducing the negative space in future pages because it was bothering me as well. It's only really noticeable in this last one but er :v
Different strokes for different folks (oh hey, the comic summed up in a sentence!), I hope you'll find them at least amusing anyway :)

Page 43: Okay, to pre-emptively answer a bunch of comments: yes, this lunchbox does exist in real life but I do not have it in my possession. Tear.
Also Henry's dad gave him that because he's awesome.

Everyone loves this lunchbox. I wish to own it myself <3

sigelina: Aw, thank you! And yes, bring on the delicious awkwardness that is 'Alain in the presence of handsome or adorable men!'

tweetle beetle battle: Well, explanation given above, but yeah thanks to his niceness and conversation he's pretty much liked by everyone.
You'd have to be Hitler to not like Henry.
Aw, thank you! Also Henry!Penelope Pitstop is an image that won't leave my mind anymore THANKS.

the-star-samurai: Oh it waaas <3 I love those guys so much, it was great to see them live (even though they're getting on a bit they're still great and adorable).
EVEN I WANT TO PULL ON HENRY'S EARS D: they're probably pretty handy.
And oh my god I would die of joy at fan art ;w; I'm such an artwhore.

Theorah: Haha, we're finally getting somewhere! And yes, the Pet Shop Boys were one of the coolest concerts I've been to. Probably because they're my favourite band so I'm biased but er :v

Z: I KNOW RIGHT i want it so bad ;A;

I think you were successful with the killing of negative space without making the backgrounds too distracting. :D I'm loving the way you drew Alain all over this page. The last panel made me chuckle. XD
Indeed we are weird. D;< Totally signed that and tweeted that. Hopefully others will sign it!! *n*b

D'aww, Henry's like me and his love of bacon and shrimp. >w< We can be lazy Jews together. ...Kosher laws are the only thing that can make steak untasty. ):

sigelina, June 29th, 2009, 9:32 am

I think the backgrounds are really nice, especially the one in panel four! :3
Oh, Henry you asked a dangerous question! XD I'm always afraid to talk about religion of any kind with people who I don't really know, somebody usually gets offended. And it's not me. :P
For the Q&A:
to all: What kind of superheroic ability would you like to have (e.g. being able to fly, super strength)?
to all: In what historic age would you like to live(and where)?
to all: If you had a time machine, what would you change in your past?
to all: What's your best memory?
to all(except Alain, because we know his :P): What's your biggest secret?
to all: What are you afraid of most?
to Donald: Would you go on diet/give up on drinking if somebody asked you to?
to Alain/Henry/Donald: Why did you become a teacher?
(Sorry for HUUUUGE post... -_-' )

I love what a real character Henry is, he reminds me of a rather lax Jewish friend of mine. Except now I can't stop picturing him driving a little pink car.

Hyde_n_Psyc, March 25th, 2010, 5:13 pm

Pffft, I love him~

I do the same thing! D8 I used to keep Kosher all the time, but then one day I tried a cheeseburger. My tummy'd never had meat and dairy together so it felt sick at first (this happened the first time I ate pork, too) but when I reflected later I decided that cheeseburgers are DELICIOUS. But the Jewish guilt runs strong in my family, so I make a point to keep kosher every other week. :>
