Okay, I am SO SORRY about the lateness of this update (hey look, three new fans! Hello loves) but my router shat itself right when my extremely computer-savvy stepfather eloped to Asia with my mother for three weeks.
He just managed to fix it today by splicing our router with one of his, so everyone thank him for this update.

Anyway, trying out a more noir-y style. I'm really getting into noir comics now so a visible influence is to be expected. Changed thge way I do eyes a bit too and I think it looks better. Do give me your input: if the majority dislikes this I'll certainly change back to my less shadowy/dramatic style.
I have the next three pages sketched out so there shouldn't be any long waits between updates for a bit.

I also watched V for Vendetta yesterday and it is so good. I cried when they beat up and blackbagged Stephen Fry though because a) Stephen Fry is one of my heroes and he's adorable and lovely and ffff b) the character of Gordon is so similar to his own that it was like watching Stephen Fry get beaten and sentenced to death and c) I'm a gigantic pussy.

coolchan: No, feel free to laugh, I'm the worst person in the world at dramatic scenes.
But yeah I'm pretty sure he has this kind of reaction at least once or twice after this in the comic (unfortunately).

akari_mizunashi: Haha, two people know a Real Life Alain! One of my teachers is kind of like him as well but taller, creepier and a huge bastard (also closeted despite everyone knowing he's married to another male teacher, who funilly enough is out to everyone?)
I learned to draw annoyed-w/-downcast-eyes at Christmas and haven't let go of it ever since.

wo-chi-baozi: Well, that's how Alain rolls I guess. Will he become less bitchy as time goes by? WHO KNOWS

tweetle beetle battle: Alain grew up in a very bourgeois environment and although his parents aren't homophobic (they're very liberal for well-off people) his classmates were very much so and he got called a myriad of homophobic slurs al through his formative years (they didn't know he really was gay, but since he was kind of effeminate and thin and not very good at sports except for running his classmates took to the whole 'hurr hurr fag' route, which I'm quite acquainted to by now).
I'm glad I'm not the only one who loves Donald's extreme subtlety and lyricism.

sigelina: If Alain weren't a good friend and if Donald weren't a cool dude (probably a former hippie) this would probably have happened.

I think I love that Dorian Grey poster in the background in the fourth panel. It looks like he's just peeking into the frame like "Oh hey." I dunno. <<
And I love Donald. ;~; I mean, I'm pretty mellow, but man, I'd still be punching Alain at this point.

Wow, I love the new inking style! ^o^ I'm a huge fan of the stark blacks and whites in noir comics, too, and you pull it off well.

I really love this comic. Just sayin'

Don, I admire your calmness. o_O Aww, BFFs. It's so cute! ^_^

Actually I liked your previous style better, but don't let this bother you, do what you'd like to. :)

oooh this is a tense page 0_0 aw, you can tell this guy is a good friend, he knows how hard it is, he handled the situation very well.
The new style looks nice, the only thing I would comment on is that the thick lined backgrounds dont work so well with the now heavily inked characters, maybe...although it might only be my personal taste, hard to tell!
